Yes! đĽł
You can set up a cut-off time for each of your service categories on the Policies & fees tab in your Category Settings page. Double check that you've selected the category where you'd like to apply a cut-off time for requests â in the screenshot below, we've selected the "Dog Walking" category for example.
Under the last-minute requests section, turn on the Set cut-off time for requests toggle to create your policy. By default, a new policy is set up for you to choose a certain time and day (relative to the appointment date) after which pet parents can no longer request appointments. You can tap within instead if youâd prefer to cut-off appointment requests within a certain number of hours or days of the appointment.
In our example below, we set up our cut-off time to 6AM on the day of the desired appointment, effectively preventing any same-day requests.
Once you hit add, you'll see your policy appear under the last-minute requests section of the Policies & fees tab. If you need to make any changes, just tap the update button corresponding to your policy!
â ď¸ Your policy comes into effect immediately upon setup.
Setting Capacity Constraints
Capacity constraints allow you to limit the number of appointment requests you accept during specific time windows. Once a time window reaches its capacity, clients will no longer be able to select it for booking. This feature is particularly useful for managing your workload and ensuring you donât overbook.
Note: While capacity constraints help manage your schedule, clients may assume you are fully unavailable if a time slot is closed, even if you could accommodate them with some flexibility. Consider communicating with clients directly if needed.
What if I wanted to make an exception for a client?
No problem! Even if you have a cut-off time set up, clients can still message you directly to request an appointment. If youâd like to accommodate it, you can manually add it to your schedule.
Setting up a request cut-off policy just disables upcoming times (based on your policy) when your clients go through the request process in their pet parent portal. đ
Additionally, if a time slot is closed due to capacity constraints, clients may assume you are fully unavailable. To avoid misunderstandings, consider reaching out to clients directly to clarify your availability if needed.
