Storage locations track where products are kept across the farm: chemical sheds and stores, fertiliser sheds and bins, fuel tanks, IBCs and workshops. Each location has its own screen with what is stored there, its emergency details, its records and checks, and the Phase tag stuck on it.

Phase tags are QR codes, as a magnet or as a sticker for machinery, that you stick on a silo, shed, tank, machine or implement. Scan one with your phone and Phase opens that thing, with the buttons to record against it.

Inventory → Locations. Phase tags are under More → Farm Operations → Phase tags, or scan a tag.

Grain, seed and hay held in silos, sheds and stacks are kept in Inventory → Grain & Hay, and a line in Locations links across to it. Water tanks, troughs, dams and bores are kept in Water (Inventory → Water, also Livestock → Water), not here.

Select Add location, then enter the name, type, farm, capacity and optional map pin. A Fuel tank also asks for its Fuel (Diesel, Petrol or AdBlue) and has It moves, to tick for a fuel trailer, tanker or ute tank that takes fuel out to the machines; its fill-ups are recorded in Inventory → Fuel. Use Save and add another when adding several tanks, sheds or IBCs.

Locations shows as Cards or on a Map. Tap a card, or Open options on a map pin, to open a location. Edit location, Place on map (Move map pin once it has one) and Delete are at the bottom of its screen. Place on map lets you tap the farm map; on a phone, you can also use the current location. Phase refuses to delete a location that still holds stock. If an older location shows No farm selected, edit it and choose the farm once.

Opening a location shows the same screen as scanning the Phase tag on it.

Under those are In an emergency (the emergency contact with Call, the spill kit, fire extinguisher, first aid, muster point and nearest water), with Edit, and the list of what is stored there. Tap a product to open it in Inventory and change its name, label or safety data sheet. Safety sheets lists the SDS for everything stored there, and a product with none on file has Add SDS.

Records and checks holds everything else Inventory records against a location. Each one opens in place, with Back to the location at the top:

Details lists the type, farm, capacity, map pin, and the last and next check dates. At the bottom is the location's Phase tag (see Phase tags below).

Only people who can edit stock see the edit pencils, Edit on the emergency details and the controls to put on or move a tag. Anyone else sees what is there and where each tag has been.

Locations no longer have their own storage QR code: there is no QR tab, Generate QR, Regenerate or Print QR, and a location without one no longer counts towards Need review. A Phase tag replaces it. Storage QR sheets already printed and stuck on a shed door still open the same read-only page of what is stored there, without signing in. New locations don't get one.

A Phase tag is a QR code you stick on a silo, shed, tank, machine or implement: a magnet, or a sticker for machinery. Stickers and magnets are both free. Records belong to the thing a tag is on, never to the tag, so a tag can be moved at any time without losing anything.

Your tags. More → Farm Operations → Phase tags has one line at the top saying how many tags are in use, spare and retired, then Scan tag and Actions. Actions has Type a tag code, for when the camera won't read one (the 7 letters and numbers under the QR square, like M55A-GEK), and Get more tags. Each tag is one row, grouped by what it is on (Grain & hay storage, Chemical sheds, Tanks & bins, Machines and so on), with its code and its state: In use, Spare, Retired, or Needs a new home for a tag still on something that has since been deleted.

Scan a tag. Point your phone's camera at the square and open the link, or use Scan tag inside Phase. If the link opens in the phone's browser rather than the Phase app, tap Open in the Phase app, or Sign in to Phase and you are brought back to the tag. Whoever scans must be signed in and a member of your farm before they see anything. The code is a name, not a key, so a photo of a tag gives nothing away. Invite a contractor or truck driver to the farm before harvest rather than at the silo at night. A tag set up by another Phase account says This tag belongs to another farm and nothing about whose it is. A tag on another of your farms offers to switch to that farm.

Set up a new tag. Scan it, and Phase asks What have you stuck it on?: Grain & hay storage, Chemical shed (or any shed or store that holds stock), Tank, Machine or Implement. Pick the one it is on, or choose Add a new… to add it there and then with Add and tag it:

Setting a tag up needs permission to edit Inventory. You can also put a tag on from the location itself: open it in Inventory → Locations, stick the tag on, then tap Scan the tag under Phase tag, or type the code printed under the QR square. A tag that is already on something else on the farm asks before it moves. Add another puts a second tag on the same place.

What a tag opens. At the top are All tags, Edit and a ••• menu. Under them are the name of what the tag is on and a line such as "Machine tag · T9R8-A7B". Then that thing's own panel:

Every button opens the same form as the page it belongs to, so nothing is recorded anywhere new. A silo or tank with no capacity says Set its capacity.

Edit from a tag. Edit at the top opens that thing's own details: a silo's name, type, capacity, gas-tight and aeration; a shed or tank's name, type, farm and capacity; a water tank's details. For a machine it opens the machine's form in Jobs & Maintenance. Silos, sheds and tanks need permission to edit Inventory, and machines and water tanks need permission to edit the farm, the same as on their own screens. People who can only view don't see Edit.

Move, take off or retire a tag. Tap the ••• at the top, or the tag's own row at the bottom of the screen, to open This tag: Move it to something else, Take it off (back to your spare tags, ready to reuse) or Retire it (lost, damaged or no longer sticks), and where the tag has been. A retired tag can be set up again. Moving, taking off and retiring need permission to edit Inventory.

Get more tags. Phase tags → Actions → Get more tags, or the email address under Need more? in This tag, opens an email to support@phase.ag headed "More Phase tags". Say how many stickers or magnets you need and where to send them.

Stocktakes let users quickly confirm stock is correct or edit quantities where needed: open the location → Records and checks → Stocktake / check, or Count stock on a shed's screen (Dip reading on a tank).

To correct a product's balance by hand, use Actions → Use / adjust → Stocktake correction and enter the difference from the book. If the shed holds less than Phase shows, put a minus in front: -200 takes 200 off.

Use a location's Records and checks → Movements → Move to another location to transfer stock between locations. Choose the destination and check the quantity: the movement removes it from the source and adds it to the destination. Older movement notes created before destination transfers were supported remain notes and do not change stock.

In a product section, such as Inventory → Chemicals, choose Filter beside the search box and pick a Location to focus on one shed or store; in Parts & other, once the farm has a machine, the same menu has a Machine group for parts and fluids. The active filter shows as a chip under the search box, and tapping the chip clears it. Product pickers only show compatible location types; for example, a chemical is not offered a grain silo.

Fuel tanks are added here as locations; their fill-ups, transfers and dips are recorded in Inventory → Fuel.

If labels or SDS links are missing, open the product details and check whether the product is matched to the correct library product.

If a tag opens the wrong silo, shed or machine, scan it, tap the ••• at the top and choose Move it to something else.
