Storage locations help track where products and commodities are stored across the farm.

Inventory → Locations for chemical, fertiliser, fuel and workshop stores. Grain silos, grain sheds, hay sheds and stacks live under Inventory → Grain (and Grain & Hay Storage under More).

Select Add Location, then enter the name, type, farm, capacity and optional map pin. Use Save and add another when adding several tanks, sheds or IBCs. Open an existing location to use Edit location, Place on map or Delete. Place on map lets you tap the farm map; on a phone, you can also use the current location.

Location safety details such as emergency contacts, spill kit, first aid and check reminders are under Safety & access and can be edited later. Phase refuses to delete a location that still holds stock.

Silos, grain sheds, hay sheds and stacks are managed in Inventory → Grain / Grain & Hay Storage, not as Inventory Locations. Use Locations for chemical sheds, fertiliser stores, fuel tanks and workshop stock.

A location QR code is for the storage location. It can help users quickly view what is stored there, including product labels, SDS links, actives and quantities.

Use QR codes for places such as chemical sheds, fuel tanks or fertiliser sheds. A QR code should generally represent the location, not a single product.

Stocktakes let users quickly confirm stock is correct or edit quantities where needed.

Use a location's Movements tab → Move to another location to transfer stock between locations. Choose the destination and check the quantity: the movement removes it from the source and adds it to the destination. Older movement notes created before destination transfers were supported remain notes and do not change stock.

In Inventory → Products, use the location filter beside search to focus on one shed or store. Product pickers only show compatible location types; for example, a chemical is not offered a grain silo. If an older location shows No farm selected, edit it and choose the farm once.
