What this is
Notes pin an observation to the farm map so its location, photos, notes and follow-up stay together over time.
Where to find it
Open Map → Notes. For a paddock-specific view, open the paddock from the Map and select Notes in its paddock sheet.
Create a Note
From Notes, choose Photo, Note or Drop pin. Add a title and any useful type, notes, status, priority, map location, photos and paddock, then save.
For a voice Note, Phase can match the paddocks, properties, crop groups and product names you say against the current farm. Review the Where this applies chips and any unmatched-name warning before saving. A phrase such as “all the wheat at Hillcrest” can select the wheat paddocks on that property for the current season without moving the Note's map pin.
Use Pin the Note at during capture to choose between the device location and the paddock being discussed. Phase keeps the original word-for-word transcript and can show corrected farm names in the editable review, plus a summary of the crop, issue, severity and timing it heard.
Find and follow up an observation
Filter Notes by type, status, priority or whether they have photos. Search by title or note.
Open a Note and select Add update or Add photo to build a dated timeline. This is useful for weeds, treatment results, crop growth, water issues, repairs and other conditions that need to be checked over time. Where available, link an update to the relevant crop activity or job.
Mark the Note resolved when it no longer needs attention. Deletion is limited to users with the required permission.
Older map pins and marker records remain available under Notes.
Turn a spoken treatment into a recommendation
When a voice Note describes a treatment, the review screen shows a Treatment heard card. Leave Draft a recommendation from this ticked if you want Phase to open a recommendation composer after the Note is saved.
The composer is pre-filled with the products, rates, water rate, timing and every matched paddock Phase heard. Product rows show whether the match came from your shed, the Product Library, a close suggestion or no match. Confirm each match; nothing is sent or added to a plan until you review and save the recommendation. The tick requires at least one paddock and appears only when your farm access allows recommendation creation.
You can also open a saved Note later and choose Draft recommendation.
