What this is
Crop Vigour compares recent satellite-derived crop greenness across mapped paddocks and shows paddock-level NDVI values.
Where to find it
Open Map → Crop Vigour. The paddock needs a mapped boundary.
Load and read an image
Choose an available image date. Phase checks recent satellite scenes and clips the imagery to paddock boundaries.
The same scale is used across the farm:
Red indicates lower greenness or canopy density.
Amber indicates middle values.
Green indicates higher greenness or canopy density.
Tap a paddock while Crop Vigour is active to review its mean, low and high NDVI values and the number of usable pixels for that image.
What NDVI can and cannot tell you
NDVI measures reflected light associated with green vegetation. Higher values generally mean a denser or greener canopy, but NDVI does not identify why a value changed.
Crop stage, exposed soil, cloud, moisture, pests, disease and other conditions can affect the result. Use Crop Vigour to choose where to inspect, then confirm conditions in the paddock or with an agronomist.
If an image is missing, confirm the paddock has a boundary, try another date, check the connection and remember that cloud masking can leave a paddock with no usable pixels.
