Although the app automatically crops and corrects the scans you can also edit the photos manually to your liking.

We’ve added a new feature called Magic Restore, created to help you repair damaged photos with ease.
To use it, simply open the photo you’d like to restore and tap Restore in the top-left corner. Watch your photo transform!
You’ll also find all your other editing tools under the Edit icon at the top of the screen (the second icon from the right).
Once you tap it, all the options will appear.
At the top:
Filters: Tap the magic wand to give your scanned photos an artistic touch, along with auto-color correction. Try different filters to see your photos in a fresh new way.
Sharpy: Tap the diamond icon to sharpen faces and make the people you love look clearer and more familiar.
Colorize: Bring black and white photos to life by tapping the color wheel icon.
At the bottom:
Rotate: Each tap on the bottom-left icon rotates your image 90 degrees counterclockwise.
Crop: Adjust the borders of your scanned photo to the size you prefer, perfect for refining the auto-crop.
Flip: Tap the triangle icon to flip your image horizontally, which is especially helpful if a negative or slide was scanned from the wrong side.

To edit scanned photos, first tap on a photo from within the app to view it in full. Then tap the Edit icon - the second icon to the right at the top of the screen - to open the Edit options screen. A variety of icons will appear at the bottom of the screen with your editing options. These include:
Rotate: Each tap of the icon in the bottom left corner will rotate the image 90 degrees counterclockwise.
Crop: Adjust the boundaries of your scanned image to your desired size. This is for additional changes to the auto-cropped image.
Flip: Press the triangles icon to flip the image horizontally (like a mirror). This might come in handy if you scan a negative or slide on the wrong side.
