To avoid blurry scans, hold the image 2 inches (5 cm) away from the computer screen (so the screen's pixels don't appear in your scan) and hold the camera about 4 inches (10cm) away from the negative.

For IOS users - Just make sure the whole negative is in the frame before scanning, with the side holes outside the lines (they will be automatically cropped out of your final scan). We added a visual video of the process if that's easier for you.

For Android users - move the camera until it is in focus.

If you use an iPhone 13 Pro, 14 or 14 Pro or purchased the Slide & Film Negative Viewer on Amazon:

You can hold the device closer to the negative. Make sure, the image is still in focus.

If it gets blurry, try to move slightly back and forth until it gets back in focus.
