When your sensor detects a hit, Phreno captures it, analyzes it, and shows you the results in seconds. Here's how it all works.
⚡ How Impacts Are Detected
Your sensor continuously monitors for activity using a built-in accelerometer and gyroscope
When a hit exceeds a certain threshold, the sensor captures data from just before and after the impact
That data is sent to Phreno's servers via your phone, analyzed, and sent back to your app — the whole process takes just a few seconds
📊 Risk Levels
Every impact gets assigned one of four risk levels:
🔵 Low — within normal range
🟡 Medium — elevated, worth keeping an eye on
🔴 High — significant impact, consider checking in with a medical professional
⬜ Unknown — impact detected but couldn't be fully classified
Risk thresholds are based on the latest scientific research and are set by the Phreno team — they can't be adjusted manually.
🔔 Impact Alerts (Coming Soon!)
When a high-risk impact is detected, the app will send you an in-app alert right away
High-risk events will also be flagged in your Analytics and Sessions tabs for easy review
This feature is nearly ready — we'll let you know as soon as it's live!
📱 Staying Connected
The app needs to be open and connected to your sensor to receive impact data in real time
Keep the app running in the background during activity so nothing gets missed
All impact data is stored securely in your account and accessible anytime through the Analytics and Sessions tabs
