Required Steps

[A] Enable Photoshop Automation
[B] Setting Up Photoshop
[C] Configure Photoshop In The Device Server

[A] Enable Photoshop Automation

To enable Photoshop Automation:

  1. In your event dashboard click Actions
  2. Click Edit
  3. Scroll down to General Settings
  4. Select Photoshop Automation
  5. Click Update Event

[B] Setting Up Photoshop

Open Photoshop and load a sample image. Make sure you load an image you are OK with saving changes to.

To load an image:

  1. Click File
  2. Click Open
  3. Click On your computer
  4. Navigate to where your file is saved then press Open

Unlock the image layer. To do so:

  1. Click Window
  2. Click Layers or Press F7 on your keyboard
  3. Double click on the Background layer and press OK

The removal of the padlock will indicate that the layer has been unlocked.

Run the Action Script from the Action Script panel. To do so:

  1. Click Window
  2. Click Actions or Press ALT + F9 on your keyboard
  3. Select an action 

After you've selected your Action Script, you need to enable Action Script recording. To do so:

  1. Click on the circle in the Action Script panel

With the Action Script being recorded:

  1. Click Layer
  2. Click Flatten Image

Save the photo and stop the recording. To do so:

  1. Click File
  2. Click Save or Press CTRL + S on your keyboard
  3. Click on the square in the Action Script panel

Important Note: It’s very important you don’t click or do anything else during this step! If you do, this action will be recorded into the Action Script!

Now it's time to save the droplet. To do so:

  1. Click File
  2. Click Automate
  3. Click Create Droplet...
  4. Click Choose..., select a location on your computer to save the droplet
  5. Click OK

[C] Configure Photoshop In The Device Server

After you've saved the droplet from Photoshop it's time to configure the Device Server. 

  1. Click Photoshop
  2. Click Enable Photoshop Automation
  3. Select Start Droplet and load the droplet that you saved.

Go to the EC Server/General Settings tab and Start PicPic Social like normal.
