Each Course Resource has a Resource Type value, indicating the category of resource. These types are maintained in the Resource Types page. Selecting Courses > Configuration and going to the Resource Types tab will open the resource type list.

Resource Type List

The resource type list displays any resource types that match the filters set above the list. For each resource type, the following details are shown:

  • Resource Type Code

  • Name

  • Status – This will be either Live or Dormant.

Filtering the List

The following searching and filtering options are available by default above the list. Once you have entered the necessary details, press Enter or select the green search button to run the search and apply your filters.

  • Search – Here you can search by resource type name.

  • Number of records – Here you can use the drop-down menu to choose how many results are displayed per page.

Along with these, additional fields can be added by selecting More. Choosing a field will add it to the top bar, where it works like the filters explained above. The following fields are available:

  • Status

Exporting the List

Selecting More also shows an option to Export to Excel. Selecting this will generate an Excel Spreadsheet containing the details currently displayed in the list.

Adding a New Resource Type

Selecting Actions > Create Resource Type from the top-right corner of the page will open the Create Resource Type window. In this window, you can specify the following details:

  • Code

  • Name

Once you have added the necessary details, select Save to create the resource type.

Resource Type Actions

Selecting the ... icon by a resource type in the list will open a menu with the following options:

  • Edit – This will open a window where you can Edit the Resource Type.

  • Delete – You will be prompted to confirm that you want to delete the resource type.
