If you need to update the template file for a WebForm without creating a new form, it is possible to replace the file from within the WebForm builder. This process will, however, remove the fields attached to the old template file, so you may want to make a note of the layout of fields before replacing the file.

You will only be able to replace the template if no instances have been created for the form yet. If they have, you will have to Clone and Retire the form and change the template for the cloned form.

To replace the file, Edit the WebForm and select Choose File by the Replace Document File field.

This will open a window where you can browse for the new template file. You will be asked to confirm that you want to replace the file before it is uploaded.

The page will then refresh automatically to show the new file. You will then need to add the necessary fields and format them accordingly.
