Creating an IQA sample in PICSWeb is made up of two steps: Adding a new sample and adding evidence item to the sample. After creating the sample, you will then be ready to start assessing items.

To add a new sample, select Learners > IQA from the side menu and go to the Samples tab.

Select Create to open a window where you can enter the Title for the sample. If necessary, you can also use the Main Adviser and Main Qualification Aim fields to restrict which learners will be able to have their evidence files included in the sample.

Select Save to add the new sample.

After saving, you will be taken to the IQA Sample Summary page, where you can start adding evidence items. To do this, select Add Items in the Items tab.

This will open a window where you can search for evidence items to include in the sample.

In this window, you can filter evidence items by the Learner and Evidence title. Tick any items you want to add and select Add Selected.

This will add the ticked items to the sample. You can then begin going into the individual evidence summaries and assessing each file.
