This outdated ‘legacy’ rule violation cannot be avoided (and should be ignored) for any Apprenticeship Standard completions (i.e. those who sit their EPA, and acquire an ILR Programme Aim ‘Achievement Date’); as well as for Apprenticeship leavers of any sort (Standards or Frameworks) who actually were in-learning later than their ILR ‘Learning Planned End Date’.

The “Valid To” date of the ACT (Apprenticeship Contract Type) FAM record, in ‘Aim FAM’ for the “ZPROG001” Programme Aim, should remain blank while the programme is continuing.

When the learner completes their end-point assessment, the ACT FAM “Valid To” date should be completed, and the date entered must be the same as their “ZPROG001” Programme Aim’s ‘Achievement Date’ (otherwise an ILR validation error will occur).

However, the ‘Achievement Date’ (and therefore the ACT FAM “Valid To” date) for that programme will naturally be later than its ‘Learning Planned End Date'; as the ‘Learning Planned End Date’ is merely the expected end of learning activities (a.k.a the practical/training period), and doesn’t include the end-point assessment period.

This means that the ACT FAM “Valid To” date of an Apprenticeship Standard completion will always be later than their ‘Learning Planned End Date’ (which will always cause the LearnDelFAMDateTo_02 warning to appear).

The LearnDelFAMDateTo_02 validation warning can safely be ignored. The warning itself does not block funding, and won’t prevent the learner’s completion from being successfully reported.

Any attempt to 'resolve' this warning by changing the ACT FAM “Valid To” date to something other than the apprentice’s ‘Achievement Date’ (for a completion), or their ‘Learning Actual End Date’ (for a withdrawal), will result in an ILR validation error being triggered instead.
