ILR Validation Error Message: "All funded component aims must have a corresponding programme aim with the same Programme type, Framework code, Pathway code or Standard code (where applicable)"

If there are ILR ‘Learning Aims’ being reported for a learner, with the ILR ‘Aim Type’ value of “3: Component Aim” set in their ‘ILR Data’ sections (indicating they’re a component of a funded Apprenticeship Programme, Traineeship Programme, T-Level Programme, etc);

Then there must also be a ZPROG001 ‘Programme Aim’ being reported (which are always ILR 'Aim Type' "1: Programme Aim"), that shares the same ILR details as those reported ‘Component Aims’:

  • For an Apprenticeship Standard, they must share the same ILR ‘Standard Code’

  • For an Apprenticeship Framework, they must share the same ILR ‘Framework Code’, and ILR ‘Pathway Code’.

Regardless of the type of learning, the ‘Component Aims’ and ‘Programme Aim’ must also share the same ILR ‘Programme Type’ value.

This rule is not triggered if the only aims of ILR Aim Type “3: Component Aim” that are present, also have an ILR ‘Funding Model' of “99: Non funded (No ESFA Funding)” recorded (in the ‘ILR Data’ section of those ILR Learning Aims' summaries).
