API keys

To link cash registers to a branch you need an API key. To do this, follow the following steps:

  • In the Dashboard, go to Tools and then to Integrations

  • In the left column click on Cash Registers

  • Click on the green Add button at the top right. Under Add you can add a cash register. Give each cash register in your branch a Name, a Terminal ID and then select the Branch.

NB! Make sure that the Name and Terminal ID are unique so that they are easily recognizable.

  • Click the Create button. The API key has now been created. You can find this in the basic information at the cash register.

If you work with a device (for example a tablet) in the company, also follow the last two steps below. For this it is important that you have first linked the device. If you haven't done so yet, read this article.

  • Click on the cash register you just created. Under Device, select the device that you want to link to this cash register.

To select the correct device, open the Piggy Business App on the device and click on the Piggy logo at the bottom left. Then click on Settings , below you will see the name of the device under Device information .

  • Do you have multiple locations? Then repeat these steps for all locations. For example, unique API keys are created in the Dashboard for all cash registers.
