If you would like to change a customer’s e-mail address, you need to follow the same steps as a contact merge. You need to effectively create a second profile with their desired new email address, then merge all their contact data from the old email address & profile to the new one.
To merge contacts, navigate to ‘CRM’ and select ‘Contacts’ from the dropdown.
Click on ‘New contact’ and enter the email of your contact. Click on ‘Create’.
On the contact profile page, click ‘Actions’ and select ‘Merge contacts’.
On the following page, you can search for the old email that you wish to merge. Select this email and click ‘Merge contacts’.
You can now see that all of the data of the contacts has been merged.
