Step 1 (Create a new tag)

  1. After logging into ServiceTitan with your administrator account, please click on the gear icon at the top right of your screen

  1. When the Settings page finishes loading, search ‘click on “Operations” and then “Tag Types” in the menu at the left side of your screen

  2. Then click the blue “Add” button underneath ‘Tag Types’

  1. In the ‘Add a Tag Type’ Section, please copy the following text into each section

    1. Name - ‘Pika Rebate needed’

    2. Code - PIKA_‘REBATE_NEEDED’

    3. Please make sure to check ‘Show on Dispatch board’

    4. Click Save

  1. Verify the tag type you’ve just added shows up on the full list of ‘Tag Types’!

    1. Make sure to return to this page and make sure tag was set up correctly

Step 2 (Adding a tag to a job)

  1. Navigate to a job in ServiceTitan that is eligible for rebate processing and select the ‘Edit’ button in the top right (circled in red in the below screenshot)

  1. In the ‘Tags’ section, add the ‘Pika Rebate Needed’ tag created in Step 1

  1. Scroll to the bottom of the page and click ‘Save’

  1. You’re all set - this job now has a ‘Pika Rebate Needed’ tag added to it!

Step 3 (Setting up automated tagging based on a service) - Recommended, but not mandatory

ServiceTitan allows you to automatically add a tag to a job, based on a specific service / task being added on that job.

As a best practice, we recommend setting up automated tagging for any rebates you’re offering as ‘off the top discounts’. Please follow the instructions in the attached help article to understand how to set this up for all rebate tasks in your pricebook.
