What is sleep report notification?

Pillow can notify you every time it detects a new sleep session so that you can get a quick summary of your sleep session without opening the app. Pillow will send a notification for all sessions detected, whether you have recorded them manually, by pressing "Start" on your iPhone/iPad or automatically by wearing your Apple Watch.

This feature does not require an Apple Watch. Pillow will send you a notification, even if you don't have an Apple Watch paired, and you track your sleep by placing your iPhone or iPad on the mattress near your pillow.

Where will I receive this notification?

Pillow will send this notification on your iPhone, iPad or Apple Watch. The exact device is determined by iOS.

The sleep report notification should arrive soon after a sleep session is detected. Pillow will try to run periodically in the background to check for newly detected sleep sessions.

This means that a sleep session may arrive between 0-90 min after it is detected depending on a number of factors such as: Batter level, how may times iOS/watchOS will allow Pillow to run in the background, how soon the the Apple Health data has been sent from your Apple Watch to the iPhone (if the session is detected automatically), and more.

  1. Open Pillow on your iPhone or iPad

  2. Tap on the Settings icon on the top right corner

  3. Scroll to find the "Notifications" section
