How do I record sounds during sleep?

Due to technical limitations, Sound Recordings can only be used with manual sleep tracking in Pillow.

How to Enable Sound Recordings

To use this feature, you’ll need to create a manual sleep tracking preset:

  1. Open Pillow on your iPhone.

  2. Tap the alarm clock icon in the bottom left corner.

  3. Tap the plus (+) icon to create a new preset or edit an existing one.

  4. In the preset settings, turn Sound Recordings ON.

  5. Save the preset.

During Sleep

  • Place your iPhone near you for the best audio capture.

  • If you are using an Apple Watch, you can avoid putting the iPhone on your mattress but it must still be nearby to accurately record and classify sounds such as snoring or bruxism.
