The various nap modes can be set as follows:
Using the iPhone or iPad
Before you start a nap session, you must first create a nap preset. This is needed only once and you can re-use it every time. Here’s how you can create a nap preset:
Creating a nap preset on your iPhone or iPad
Open Pillow on your iPhone or iPad.
Tap on the alarm clock icon at the bottom left corner of the screen.
Create a new alarm preset (this step is required once) by tapping on the plus icon "+".
Under "Alarm", tap on the "Duration" tab.
Tap on the time to bring up the picker that lets you set your desired sleep session duration.
Tap "Done".
You can then start a nap session by following the below steps:
Starting a nap session on your iPhone or iPad
Open Pillow on your iPhone or iPad.
Tap on the alarm clock icon at the bottom left corner of the screen.
Tap "Start" on your preferred alarm preset based on duration, not alarm time.
Place your device on the mattress near your pillow.
Using the Apple Watch
Before you start a nap session, you must first create a nap preset. This is needed only once and you can re-use it every time. Here’s how you can create a nap preset:
Creating a nap preset using the Apple Watch only
Open Pillow on your Apple Watch.
Tap on the sleep icon at the bottom left corner
Create a new alarm preset (this step is required once) by tapping on the plus icon "+".
Tap "Preset type" and select "Duration".
Tap on the Back button at the top left corner, then Tap on "Duration" to bring up the picker that lets you set your desired sleep session duration.
Ensure that: "iPhone Speaker" is OFF, "iPhone vibrations" is OFF, "Sound recordings" is OFF, "Sleep aid" is OFF.
Tap "Done".
You can then start a nap session by following the below steps:
Starting a nap session using the Apple Watch only
Open Pillow on your Apple Watch.
Tap on the sleep icon at the bottom left corner of the screen
Tap on your preferred alarm preset based on duration, not alarm time.
Starting a nap session using the Apple Watch and the iPhone
Open Pillow on the iPhone.
Open Pillow on the Apple Watch.
Tap on the sleep icon at the bottom left corner, then tap your preferred tracking preset based on duration, not alarm time.
Place your iPhone on the nightstand and keep your Apple Watch on your wrist.
When the alarm goes off, press "Stop" on your Apple Watch.
