What is sleep report notification?
Pillow can notify you every time it detects a new sleep session so that you can get a quick summary of your sleep session without opening the app. Pillow will send a notification for all sessions detected, whether you have recorded them manually, by pressing "Start" on your iPhone/iPad or automatically by wearing your Apple Watch.
This feature does not require an Apple Watch. Pillow will send you a notification, even if you don't have an Apple Watch paired, and you track your sleep by placing your iPhone or iPad on the mattress near your pillow.
Where will I receive this notification?
Pillow will send this notification on your iPhone, iPad or Apple Watch. The exact device is determined by iOS.
When will I receive the notification?
The sleep report notification should arrive soon after a sleep session is detected. Pillow will try to run periodically in the background to check for newly detected sleep sessions.
This means that a sleep session may arrive between 0-90 min after it is detected depending on a number of factors such as: battery level, how may times iOS/watchOS will allow Pillow to run in the background, how soon the Apple Health data has been sent from your Apple Watch to the iPhone (if the session is detected automatically), and more.
How do I turn off the sleep report notification?
If you want to prevent Pillow from sending a sleep report notification earlier than a specific time, you can set this up from Pillow's Settings:
Open Pillow on your iPhone or iPad.
Tap on the "Settings" icon in the top right corner.
Scroll to find the "Notifications" section.
Tap on "Sleep report".
Tap on the toggle to disable the report.

Did you edit the sleep session after it was detected?
Pillow will not send a notification for sleep sessions that have been manually edited. These are sessions that Pillow considers to be already reviewed so it's not necessary to notify you about them.
Is your battery level low?
If your battery level is low, iOS or watchOS (if you have an Apple Watch paired), may choose not to run Pillow in the background to conserve energy.
Have you restarted your devices?
In some cases, for reasons beyond our control, iOS, iPad OS or watchOS may have issues or error that may interfere with the functionality of Pillow. In cases like this, restarting your devices may refresh the system and restore its proper functionality.
Do you use an older version of watchOS/iOS or Pillow?
It is generally advised to keep your devices up to date and install the latest update available for Pillow.
