This can be caused by two different problems:

1. There can have come some dirt on the sensors in the dose compartments, this makes the sensors think that there is something in the compartments even though it there is not.

You solve this easily by following the care instructions for the pillbox, which can be found here. When the pillbox is cleaned, it will work properly again.

2. You did not turn the pillbox around and back when you took your medication. In order to save batteries, the sensors only sense in the compartments if someone is touching or turning the pillbox which is triggered by a gyroscope in the pillbox. When its time to take your dose, take the pillbox, open the compartment and turn it around so the pills fall into your hand. Then turn it back around to your original position and then close the lid of the compartment.
