The first step is to make sure your logbook is configured to display the Relief field. If you do not see it in your logbook go to LogTen > Settings > Time > Relief > select ON.
On the Mac app, manually entering any value into the Relief time field will be auto-deducted from the Total time field. All the auto-fill values (SIC, IFR, etc) will also be deducted to match the new Total time.

If the Relief time is deleted the other values will revert back to their previous times.
Deselecting the Relief function:
If for any reason you do not want the Relief field from auto-deducting Total time (such as entering Balance Forward entries) you can disable this feature.
On your Mac, open LogTen and go to LogTen > Settings > General > Deduct Relief from Total Time > Deselect
