How to Set Up the Storefront

Updated over a month ago

Optional Prerequisites

  • Setup any desired Online Ground School Integrations and enable the desired courses you would like included in your storefront.

  • Setup any products you would like to sell in your storefront as products and services.

  • Gather images for the products and services you would like to sell in your storefront.

Description

The Storefront enables flight schools and organizations to sell online ground school courses and products to users who have access to FSP. Powered by FSP’s embedded payments, users can self-service the purchase of ground school courses to power their training or purchase items for physical pickup at your organization. There are three sections to the storefront: Online Ground School, the Pilot Shop and Pilot Resources.

Online Ground School Courses: A permanent home for self service payment links. Students can now purchase online ground school courses on their own time, get access to the course and connect their FSP account in minutes. With a built in prevention of duplicate purchases, a student cannot accidentally purchase the same OGS course that their school has already given them via the traditional invoice flow or a package with auto billing.

Pilot Shop: Add single priced products and services to the storefront for users to purchase. Images can now be uploaded on the product and service and will display in the storefront to aid the end user in their purchase experience.

All product and services need to be picked up at the operator, no fulfillment or inventory exists today.

Pilot Resources: Schools can now control which pilot resources they want their users to see. Pilot resources now live in the storefront.

If you do not have Payrix, they will only have the pilot resources section.

Step by Step

  1. Navigate to Settings > Billing Hub > Storefront Preferences

  2. Toggle the Page Status from Inactive to Live.

  3. Update Storefront Customizations as desired.

    1. This can include giving your storefront a custom name, changing the icon that displays in the left navigation menu and updating the banner with colors and text.

    2. To update the banner header or description, just simply click on the placeholder “Start your aviation journey” or “Everything you need for flight training - from ground school courses to essential pilot gear.” text. This text can include suggested purchase items by program, instructions for pickup or however you see fit.

  4. Online Ground School

    1. Any online ground school courses enabled at your school should automatically populate in the OGS section of the storefront. You may add/remove courses as needed. Only online ground school courses from FSP integrations will be displayed here.

  5. Pilot Shop

    1. Have physical items, gear or t-shirts to sell? The pilot shop section is your home for products and services set up in FSP for users to buy without assistance from staff and without the need for the add invoices permission.

    2. Any product and service selected needs to be a single rate item, i.e. cannot be aircraft rentals or instruction.

    3. Note: there is no fulfillment or inventory tracking in v1 of the storefront. All items will need to be picked up in person by the user at your organization.

  6. Pilot Resources

    1. Pilot Resources has been relocated from the left navigation to inside the storefront. You now have control over which pilot resources are shown to your users. If you need to turn one off, toggle from Display to Do Not Display.

  7. Save

    1. All changes need to be saved at the top right of the page for your storefront to be updated.

  8. Preview your Storefront by navigating to the Storefront in the left menu in FSP.

Permission Needed

Manage Company Settings is needed to set up the storefront preferences.

End users who wish to purchase items from the storefront do not need additional permissions outside a login to FSP.
