As your fleet and operation changes, we know how important it is to both maintain historical records and have an accurate list of current resources. Aircraft or simulators that are no longer being used, but remain in your account, can cause scheduling confusion and skew metrics of fleet size and resource utilization.
How to Delete an Aircraft/Sim
From the “Aircraft” tab on the left, click the dropdown next to the tail number you wish to delete, and click “Delete Aircraft”.
Once the resource has been deleted, its historical data will live in the analysis grids in Reports. You do not need to have the aircraft restored to have access to its flight or maintenance history. In the analysis grid, you will see that the tail number includes “(Deleted)” to easily determine the aircraft has been deleted from the account.
If running an analysis grid on Flight/Class Detail, a hyperlink to the reservation with the deleted aircraft will be available, along with the starting and ending times of the aircraft for the reservation.
Best Practices for User Profiles
For user profiles that have associated documents, transactions, or reservation history, we recommend marking them as "Inactive" instead of permanently deleting them. This preserves valuable historical data and allows easier access to their data. Additionally, if the user returns in the future, you can simply turn them back to an “Active” user, while retaining their original profile.
