How to View and Search Flights
Find, filter, and browse imported flights in the Flight List. This article is for pilots, instructors, and safety personnel who use FDM inside Safety Hub.
Overview
The Flight List is the default landing page after signing in to FDM. It displays all flights imported into the system — whether captured automatically from avionics hardware or uploaded manually — with tools to search, filter, and drill into individual flight records.
The Flight List
Select Flights in the sidebar to view the Flight List.
The list displays flights in reverse chronological order with the following columns:

Column | Description |
Date | Date and time of the flight. |
Reservation | FSP reservation number (linked to the reservation in Flight Schedule Pro). Displays "—" when unmatched. |
Pilot | Assigned pilot name (linked to the person record in FSP). Displays "—" when unmatched. |
Instructor | Assigned instructor name, if applicable. Displays "—" when unmatched. |
Aircraft | Aircraft tail number and type. Linked to the aircraft record in FSP. Displays "N/A" if the tail number could not be identified. |
Route | Airport identifiers for the flight route. |
Duration | Flight duration in hours and minutes. |
Events | Number of safety events detected during the flight. "—" indicates no events. |
The total flight count is displayed above the table (e.g., "12219 flights").
Note: A flight is matched to an FSP reservation during processing, which fills in the Pilot, Instructor, and Reservation columns. Until a flight is matched — or in operations where matching is not in use — those columns show "—".
Each row has an expand chevron on the right side. Clicking it opens the Flight Detail view.
Searching Flights
Use the search bar at the top of the list to find flights by keyword.
The placeholder text reads "Search flights, pilots, aircraft..." — you can search by flight ID, pilot name, tail number, aircraft type, departure or arrival airport, or route. (Search does not match reservation numbers; use the Reservation matched only filter or the Date Range filter to narrow results instead.)
Filtering Flights
Click the Filters button in the upper-right area of the Flight List.
The Filters panel provides the following options:

Filter | Options |
Pilot | Select a specific pilot or leave as "All pilots". |
Aircraft | Select a specific aircraft or leave as "All aircraft". |
Source | Filter by data source or leave as "All". |
Airport | Filter by departure/arrival airport or leave as "All airports". |
Date Range | Set a "From" and "To" date to narrow the time window. |
Min Duration | Use the slider to filter out short flights (0 to 3 hours). At the far-left position the slider reads "Off," meaning no minimum duration is applied. |
Reservation matched only | Toggle to show only flights matched to an FSP reservation. |
Hide ground operations | Toggle (on by default) to hide flights that never moved more than 100 ft from where they started. |
Multi engine | Toggle to show only multi-engine aircraft. |
Adjust filters as needed. The flight list updates automatically.
To reuse the same filters every time you open the Flight List, click Save current filters as my default at the bottom of the panel. FDM applies your saved filters automatically on your next visit.
Pagination
The list displays 25 flights per page. Use the pagination controls at the bottom of the table:
Previous / Next buttons to move between pages.
The current page and total page count are displayed (e.g., "Page 1 of 489").
Opening a Flight
Click the chevron on any row in the Flight List to open the detailed flight review view. See the "How to Review a Flight" article for a full walkthrough of the Flight Detail view.
