Register aircraft for ADS-B monitoring
Aircraft Registrations maps each of your FSP aircraft to its official FAA registration. Making that link lets Flight Data Monitoring (FDM) pull richer data for the aircraft: ADS-B monitoring, squawk capture, and traffic data. Until an aircraft is registered, FDM cannot enrich its flights with that data.
This is an operator-wide setting. You need the Manage FDM Settings permission to make changes here.
The "needs a registration" banner
When one or more of your aircraft are not yet registered, the Flight List shows an information banner at the top:

Select Review registrations to jump straight to the Aircraft Registrations page. You can also reach it any time from Settings → Aircraft Registrations. The banner clears once every aircraft has a registration.
Open Aircraft Registrations
In the FDM left sidebar, select Settings.
On the Aircraft Registrations card, select Manage.
The page is titled Aircraft Registrations, with the subtitle "Map your FSP aircraft to official registrations to enable ADS-B monitoring, squawk capture, and traffic data." A yellow banner near the top restates how many aircraft still need a registration.
Read the aircraft list
The list shows every FSP aircraft (the count appears next to the Aircraft heading). Each row has:
FSP Aircraft — the tail and aircraft label as they exist in FSP.
FAA Registration — the official registration this aircraft is mapped to, or Unmapped if none is set.
Source — the data source for the aircraft, such as ADS-B, AirSync, Levil, or Garmin.
Status — one of Auto-mapped (matched automatically), Confirmed (verified through Edit), or Needs review (not yet mapped or needing a check).
Actions — Edit to set or change the registration, and Reset to FSP tail to re-derive the mapping from the FSP tail.
Use the Search FSP tail box to find an aircraft, and the All sources and All statuses dropdowns to filter the list — for example, to show only aircraft that still need review.
Register an aircraft
Find the aircraft in the list. Unmapped aircraft show Unmapped in the FAA Registration column and Needs review in Status.
Select Edit on that row.
In the Official registration field, enter or confirm the official FAA registration for the aircraft, then save. As you type, FDM checks the FAA registry and shows the matching make and model when it finds one.
Once an aircraft is mapped, FDM can enable ADS-B monitoring, squawk capture, and traffic data for its flights.
Map many aircraft at once
To register aircraft in bulk, select Auto-map at the top right of the page. Auto-map matches your FSP aircraft to official registrations automatically so you do not have to edit each row by hand. Review the results afterward, and fix any that still show Needs review using Edit.
Undo a mapping
If a mapping is wrong, select Reset to FSP tail on that row. This clears the confirmed registration and re-derives the status from the FSP tail. If the FSP tail is a valid N-number, the aircraft may re-map automatically; otherwise it returns to Unmapped, and if others are also unmapped, the Flight List banner will reappear.
Troubleshooting
The banner is still showing after I registered aircraft. The banner clears only when every aircraft has a registration. Open Settings → Aircraft Registrations, filter Status to Needs review, and finish mapping the remaining aircraft.
I don't see an Edit or Auto-map option. Registering aircraft requires the Manage FDM Settings permission. Ask an admin to update your permissions or to complete the mapping.
An aircraft is registered but flights still lack ADS-B or traffic data. Confirm the FAA registration on the row is correct (use Edit). ADS-B, squawk, and traffic enrichment depend on a valid mapping, so an incorrect registration can prevent the data from appearing.
