Read the Safety Dashboard
The Safety Dashboard is the first screen you see when you open Safety Hub. It pulls together your operation's safety metrics so you can spot what needs attention and jump straight to the work. This article is for anyone on the safety team who uses the dashboard to triage reports, hazards, and corrective actions.
To open it, select Dashboard at the top of the left sidebar. The page is titled Safety Dashboard, with the subtitle "Safety metrics and report analytics."
Set the time window
In the top-right corner, a time filter controls the period the whole dashboard reports on: Today, 7D (7 days), 30D (30 days), 90D (90 days), and 1Y (1 year). Select a button to change the window. The KPI tiles, trend figures, and charts all update to match. The dashboard opens on 30D by default.
Act on the Needs Attention row
Just below the title is the Needs Attention row — a set of red callout pills for the items that are past due or high risk. Typical pills include:
Overdue reports — safety reports past their due date.
High-risk hazard — hazards rated at the top of the risk matrix.
Overdue actions — corrective actions past their due date.
Overdue document reviews — library documents due for review.
Each pill is clickable. Select one to jump to a filtered view of exactly those items so you can start working them.
Read the KPI tiles
The dashboard shows a Flight Risk Assessments summary (Open, In Progress, Completed, and Highest Risk counts) followed by a grid of KPI tiles. Each tile shows a single number and a short label. Common tiles include:
Total Reports — with a trend figure such as "180% vs prior" comparing the current period to the one before it.
Open Reports — reports still requiring attention.
High Risk Hazards — unmitigated high-risk hazards.
Overdue / Due Today Actions and Overdue / Due Today Reports — shown as two numbers, overdue and due today.
Regulatory Pending — events that need NTSB or FAA action.
Unassigned — reports with no assignee yet.
Oldest Open — the age, in days, of your oldest open report.
Document Reviews — reviews that are overdue or due in 30 days.
The tiles are read-only counters. Use them to gauge workload and backlog at a glance.
Use the navigation tiles
Below the KPI grid sits a row of navigation tiles that link to deeper analytics:
Open Loop Items — unclosed safety gaps (hazards or reports with no linked corrective action).
Repeat Events — groups of recurring events over the selected period.
Performance Assessment — the SMS performance review formatted for Accountable Executive sign-off.
Select a tile to open that view.
Filter with the charts
The dashboard's charts are interactive — clicking part of a chart filters the underlying reports.
Reports by Status — a donut chart splitting reports by status (for example, Submitted and Done). The caption reads "Click a segment to filter reports."
Severity Distribution — a bar chart of reports by severity. "Click a bar to filter by severity."
Report Trend — a time-series line showing report volume over the selected window.
Reports by Operational Area — a bar chart breaking reports down by operational area.
Selecting a segment or bar takes you to the report queue filtered to match, so you can move from an overview straight into the specific reports behind it.

Near the bottom of the dashboard are list widgets that surface specific records without leaving the page:

Each has a View All link to open the full list. A Safety Overview panel also summarizes Open Hazards, open Corrective Actions, and your resolution rate.
What you can see depends on your role
The dashboard reflects the reports, hazards, and actions you have access to — you see the records your role and team membership permit. If your numbers look lower than you expect, your access may be scoped more narrowly than you thought — check with your Safety Manager.
