So, you got an invoice... now what? π§
An invoice is a commercial billing statement issued by a seller to a buyer for services rendered. As a renter, you will receive a monthly invoice detailing the charges made to your account for the previous month.
What does the information on your invoice mean?
In the top left corner of the invoice, you will find the following:
The invoice number
Date of issue (this is the date the document was produced)
Date due (this is the date when the payment is due)
In the top left corner, you will see:
Billing information: contains your name/name of your company
π Make sure this information is accurate and that you are receiving the correct bill.
At the center of the page, you will find an itemized list of the services rendered during the billing period, usually from the previous month. It includes:
Description: This includes the services you requested
Quantity (Qty): the number of times the service was requested during the month
Unit Price: how much it costs
Amount: the amount of money totaled for that request
At the end of the table, you will find:
Subtotal: how much it is for the requests
Tax: how much the state or local tax is
Total: The final total, including tax and any other fees
