In Leadspicker, outreach is organized through sequences — a structured flow of steps that combine email and LinkedIn actions.
Sequences give you full control over how and when you communicate with your leads.
What Is a Sequence
A sequence is a series of automated actions that determine the flow of your outreach campaign.
You can mix different steps such as sending emails, LinkedIn connection requests, or LinkedIn messages — and customize the order to match your strategy.
Creating a Sequence
You can build your sequence step by step:
LinkedIn Connection Request – Start by sending a connection invitation.
LinkedIn Message – Send a personalized message to new or existing connections.
Email Step – Create and schedule follow-up emails as part of your workflow.
You can combine these steps in any order, allowing for fully customized and multi-channel outreach.
Adding Conditions to Your Sequence
Conditions make your outreach more effective by allowing the flow to branch based on specific outcomes or data.
This ensures that each lead follows the most relevant path.
Examples:
If a lead is already connected with you on LinkedIn → send a LinkedIn message.
If they are not connected → send a connection request first.
After waiting a few days, you can branch again:
If the connection request was accepted → continue with a LinkedIn message.
If not → follow up via email.
Using Magic Columns in Conditions
You can also base sequence conditions on Magic Columns to personalize outreach by lead data — such as job title, seniority, or industry.
To set this up:
Go to the Contacts tab in your project.
Select the Magic Columns you want to use.
Make sure the toggle is turned on to enable those columns for conditions.
Once saved, you’ll see the option to add conditions using a Yes / No branch within your sequence.
Editing and Testing Steps
Every step in your sequence can be updated at any time.
For email steps, you can send yourself a preview to review personalization, formatting, and links before launching.
To do this:
Click on the three dots next to the email step.
Select Send Preview to see how your message will appear to recipients.
Why Use Sequences
With sequences, you can:
Automate your outreach across multiple channels
Create smart flows with conditions and personalization
Optimize communication timing and relevance
These tools help you build flexible, data-driven campaigns that make your outreach more efficient and impactful.
