What do I need to know about switching from the Essential plan to the Lite plan in Pipedrive?
If you're a customer currently using the Essential plan in Pipedrive, you may have questions about transitioning to the Lite plan or continuing with your current subscription. Here, we provide answers to some key concerns about plan selection and changes.
Key Differences Between the Essential and Lite Plans
Pipedrive’s Lite plan has been introduced as a successor to the Essential plan, offering additional features such as:
Web-to-mobile Calls
Deal Card customization
Enforced Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)
All features previously available in the Essential plan
Can You Continue on the Essential Plan?
Customers on the Essential plan can retain their subscription through their next renewal cycle. Additionally:
The Essential plan is expected to be gradually discontinued by 2026. At that time, you will need to select another plan, such as Lite.
If you recently renewed or will soon renew, you are likely able to stay on the Essential plan until its sunset.
Transitioning to the Lite Plan
Switching from the Essential plan to the Lite plan is straightforward and comes with no negative consequences. Any add-ons you currently use will continue to be billed as before. If you’re ready to switch:
Navigate to Billing > Manage Subscription in your Pipedrive account.
Choose the Lite plan and confirm your selection. Once you’ve switched, you’ll gain access to the enhanced tools and features included in the plan.
What About Automatic Migration?
Pipedrive may initiate a migration from the Essential to the Lite plan in the future, but no specific dates have been announced. If this occurs, you will be informed well beforehand.
Is Switching Mandatory?
Switching to the Lite plan is entirely optional at this time. You can remain on the Essential plan if it meets your needs. However, as the Essential plan will sunset in 2026, transitioning to the Lite plan or another available plan will eventually be necessary.
