What to do if your payment fails
If a payment for your Pipedrive subscription fails, use the steps below to resolve it and get your invoice paid.
Check your details first
Before retrying, make sure your card or account has sufficient funds, and that your billing address and card details are entered correctly on the Billing page.
Retry your payment
If everything looks correct, go to the Billing page and click "Pay invoice" in the invoice history section. This immediately triggers a new payment attempt using your saved payment method.
The "Pay Invoice" button only appears if an invoice is open and the payment method is credit card or PayPal.
If we are able to process your payment, you will see a confirmation message and an option to download the paid invoice.
Common reasons payments fail
Bank-related declines: the bank may restrict or flag the transaction (transaction limits, merchant category restrictions, etc.)
Insufficient funds in the account or card linked to your subscription
Card restrictions on transaction types or merchant categories
Browser or connection issues when entering payment details
If the payment still fails
Contact your bank or card issuer to confirm there's no block on the transaction, and check for fraud alerts or spending-limit restrictions.
Check that your card or account has sufficient funds.
Try an alternative payment method, such as a different card or PayPal.
If nothing appears wrong but you still can't complete payment, clear your browser cache and cookies, then log back in and try again.
Automatic retries
Pipedrive will also automatically retry a failed payment daily for 30 days from the first failed attempt. If the issue is resolved before then, the invoice will be marked as paid automatically — you don't need to use the Pay invoice button, though it lets you trigger a retry immediately instead of waiting.
SEPA processing time
SEPA payments can take up to 5 working days to process. While a SEPA payment is pending, you won’t be able to change your subscription or payment method. This is normal processing time, not a decline, and it can’t be sped up.
