Depending on your country's billing address you have the possibility to enter your tax ID to reflect on your invoices.

This action is only available to users with billing access.

To add or update your tax ID in your account, please follow the steps listed below:

  • Go to your Billing tab;

  • Select the pencil icon in the Billing details section;

  • Scroll down to the Address section and fill in the tax number field that appears there;

  • Click the "Confirm billing details" button to save your information.

If you have a European billing address, you will have the possibility to add your VAT number.

If your VAT or ABN number is not being accepted but you have checked it against official records (VAT check and ABN check), please reach out to support.

If you are unable to add your VAT ID to your account billing details, the first thing you should do is check if your VAT ID is valid.

To check if your VAT ID is valid you should follow these steps:

  • Select the member state (country) in the first field

  • Provide the remaining digits of the VAT number in the VAT number field

  • Select "Verify"

You will then see if your VAT ID is valid or invalid.

If your VAT ID has an Invalid response:

One possible error you may receive is that the maximum requests for this state have been reached. Unfortunately, this is a limit on the VIES system. In this case, please wait a few hours and try to add your VAT ID again.

If your VAT appears invalid, you should then contact your local tax authority for more information. You can get the relevant contact details through the VIES website.

If your VAT ID has a Valid response, please do the following:

  • Remove any formatting (dashes, hyphens, forward-slashes)

  • Try to add your VAT ID again with different formats (with spacing, without spacing, etc.).
