You can now add descriptions to your custom fields to make it easier for your teams to fill in the data.
There are two ways to configure the description of a data field, please follow the steps listed below:
1️⃣ Edit directly in Company Settings:
Navigate to Company Settings → Data fields → click on any custom field or “+ Custom field” button.
2️⃣ Edit directly through the deal detail view:
Navigate to the Deal detail view → Details → ··· (menu) → Customize fields → ✎ icon next to a custom field or “+ Custom field” link.
Once the description has been added to the data field, you’ll be able to see it in the lead/deal detail view or when creating a new lead/deal by hovering the cursor over the data field and clicking on the (i) symbol.
💡 Note: only users with Account Settings permission can add or update custom fields.
At the moment, this feature is only available for lead/deal custom fields. It is not available for other types of entities or default fields.
