What is a phase?

A phase is a step in the execution of a specific process, or pipe.  In Pipefy's main view (Kanban), each phase is represented by a column with its name on top. It can also have a description, SLA, assignees, etc (click here to learn more).

According to the Kanban methodology, the cards move laterally through your pipe’s phases using one of the action buttons or by dragging and dropping the card to the phase you’d like it to be.

A phase, just like the start form is made of fields you can reorder and edit to better suit your process’ needs. While the phase represent a step in the execution of a process, the fields in it represent the execution rules your team members must follow in order to execute a task.
