What is the Stabilisation Phase?

When your wort is transferred into the fermentation tank at the start of your batch, the Plaato Pro requires sometime to adjust and stabilise to the temperature inside of the tank.

This is called the Stabilisation Phase. The Stabilisation Phase lasts between 30-60 minutes. Given the changes in temperature in the tank during this time, the Plaato Pro will take multiple readings to calculate and display an accurate OG when temperature has settled in the tank.

We encourage you to take and add your manual measured OG for the batch into the Plaato Pro App during this time in the "Add Original Gravity" field.

What to expect during the Stabilisation Phase

When you create your first batch and the liquid hits the Pro, you will be presented with the Stabilising Data screen which visualizes the stabilisation process with a progress bar at the top of your screen.

Once stabilisation is completed, your first reading will be displayed on the graph on the batch screen and your batch will start.

Adjusting the OG

Where we observe a difference in your manually measured OG and the PLAATO Pro's OG, you will be given the option to adjust the OG on the Plaato Pro for the batch during the stabilisation phase.

NOTE: The option to adjust your OG will also be available to you throughout the batch on your "Edit Batch" screen. Here is how to πŸ‘‡πŸΌ

  • Launch your Plaato Pro App

  • Tap on "Batches" and select the batch you are looking to adjust OG on.

  • Tap on the settings "Cogwheel" at the top corner of your screen

  • Tap into the "Original Gravity" field and enter your manual measured OG

  • To adjust your batch, scroll to the "OG Adjustment" field and toggle it on

  • Save your changes.
