We've simplified publishing in the Console to make content management more intuitive—whether you're updating a single Object or coordinating changes across multiple Spaces and Points of Interest. The updated statuses and terminology align with common publishing workflows, helping you see what’s live in the PWA and what’s still in progress.

What’s New

  • We've updated the wording on our action buttons

    • On-Display is 'Publish' and Off-Display is now 'Revert to Draft'.

      • Publish prepares content for release to the PWA.

      • Revert to Draft marks content for removal in your next release.

  • Publishing a public bundle is now called 'Releasing to public', reflecting how changes are grouped and pushed live together.

You can manage all your releases from the Releases page, accessed via the item in the left hand navigation.

New Statuses, Explained

Here’s what each status means, ordered by how you’re likely to encounter them:

📝 Draft

Status: Draft

What it means: The content is saved in the Console but is hidden from your public PWA.

What to do next: When ready to go live, click Publish.

🔁 Published - Out of Sync

Status: Published-sync

What it means: You’ve clicked Publish in the Console, but the content isn't available in the PWA yet. The Console and the PWA are temporarily out of sync.

What to do next: Go to the Releases screen and push a public release to sync your updates.

Published

Status: Published

What it means: The content is live in your PWA, matching what you see in the Console.

What to do next: No action needed unless you want to make updates.

✏️ Published with Draft Changes

Status: Published with Draft Changes

What it means: Live content remains visible in the PWA but you have draft edits saved in the Console.

What to do next: When ready, click Publish to prepare the updates for your next public release.

🔁 Published with Changes Pending

You made updates to something in the Console that’s already live in the PWA and hit publish.

Status: Published-sync

What it means: The original content is still visible in the PWA, but your changes aren’t yet.

What to do next: Include this item in your next public release to sync the updates to the PWA.

🔁 Draft - Out of Sync

You’ve decided to unpublish an item.

Status: Draft-sync

What it means: You’ve clicked Revert to Draft on a previously published item. The item is still visible in the PWA but will be removed after the next public release.

What to do next: Perform a public release to remove the item from the PWA.

Why We Made These Changes

These updates reduce confusion and align with standard publishing workflows. If you’ve worked with other headless CMS or content systems, the draft → publish → release process will feel familiar—making it easier for teams managing many items at once.
