Before releasing updates to visitors, Console operators often want to experience the content as a user would. In Pladia, you can release a Preview bundle to review your updates in a private version of the app—without impacting live content.

This article walks through how to release a Preview bundle for internal testing and review.

🔔 Note: Preview releases will include all changes—both Published and Draft—so your team can review updates before going live. Alternatively, all content must be set to Published (formerly “Put On Display”) before it can be included in a Public release.

Preview Mode Overview

  • Accessing the Preview:
Add ?audience=preview to the end of your PWA URL to launch the Preview version.

    • Example: demo.pladia.io?audience=preview

You'll know you're in Preview Mode by the 'Preview' tab displayed in the top right corner of the screen.

  • Switching Views:
A Preview tab appears in the top-right corner of your screen. Use it to toggle out of Preview mode.

Clicking the Preview tab will give you the option to 'Switch to Published Version' to exit the preview session.

  • Analytics:
Preview activity does not affect your visitor analytics. It’s purely for internal review.

Steps to Publish a Preview Bundle in Pladia

  1. Publish your updates.
Whether you're editing content (like Objects or POIs) or making configuration changes (like in App settings or to a Pathways navtrack), use the Publish button to prepare those updates for release.

  2. Go to the Releases screen.
In the left navigation, click Releases.

  3. Under the Preview section, review changes.
You’ll see a list of content marked as Published or Draft, depending on your previous choices.

    1. This list includes changes made by any user, not just changes made by yourself during the current working session.

  4. (Optional) Add Release Notes.
Use the free text field to note your initials, date, or a short summary of the updates included.

  5. Click “Release Preview Bundle.”
This makes the Preview version of your updates available at your preview URL.

  6. Check the Release History.
The right-hand panel shows all previous releases, including Previews, for reference.

That’s it!

You’ve successfully released a Preview bundle—your updates are now ready for internal testing before going live.
