The place tags is an enhanced feature that PIE has added to help users find reservations faster while searching through their library for a specific hotel, activity, tour, transfer, restaurant, etc.

For example, some users may need to quickly find all their tours in Rome, so by automatically adding locations to their reservations, users save time.

These 'Place' tags allow you to quickly search your library, reservation reports and your reservations page.

Another use case example would be if you type 'London' in your hotel library, it will show you all your saved London hotels allowing you to select multiple hotels at one time to add to your planner page in case you want to offer multiple choices to you travelers.

Ex. Loews Miami Beach is added as a hotel reservation to a trip and saved to the library below. Notice the place tags are automatically added to the reservation:

Next time I want to search for all of my Miami Beach hotels from the library, the Loews hotel will populate from my place tag search as seen below:

The middle Place Search filter will populate addresses as well as place tags that exist in a reservation.

These 'Place' tags are also moving towards our implementation of AI within PIE where with just a few words inputted by a user, PIE AI can create full trips in just moments.

Keep in mind this Place Tags feature is not client facing but for your internal use only.
