Pipeline Steps

Understand how Pipeline Steps help you manage your booking process from new inquiry to Won.

Updated over 2 weeks ago

Pipeline Steps represent the stages a Lead moves through during your booking process. They allow you to track where each inquiry stands, from first contact to signed client. For example, common Pipeline Steps might include:

  • New Lead

  • Contacted

  • Proposal Sent

  • Won

  • Lost

You can structure your pipeline to match how you actually book clients.

Default Pipeline Steps

While most Pipeline Steps are fully customizable, there are three Planpage default steps that cannot be edited or removed. These steps represent key stages in your sales process:

New Lead

Automatically assigned when an inquiry first enters your CRM.

Won

Marks a Lead as officially booked. When a Lead is moved to Won, a Project is automatically created.

Lost

Indicates that the Lead did not move forward.

These core steps ensure your pipeline remains structured and connected to the rest of your workflow, while still allowing you to customize the stages in between.

Custom Pipeline Steps

In addition to the default system steps, you can create and manage your own Pipeline Steps to reflect how you book clients. You might include stages such as:

  • Consultation Scheduled

  • Consultation Completed

  • Proposal Sent

  • Follow-Up

  • Contract Sent

  • Deposit Pending

Your pipeline should mirror your real-world booking process.
