Lead Sources

Updated over 2 weeks ago

Lead Sources allow you to track where your inquiries are coming from. By assigning a source to each Lead, you can better understand which marketing efforts are generating interest and which channels are converting into booked clients.

Common examples include:

  • Instagram

  • Google Search

  • Referral

  • Vendor Referral

  • Wedding Planner Directory

  • Wedding Show

Tracking this information helps you see patterns over time and make smarter marketing decisions.

Lead Sources on Your Contact Form

Your Lead Sources automatically appear as a dropdown field on your Lead Contact Form. When a potential client fills out your form, they can select how they heard about you. Their selection is then saved directly to the Lead record inside Planpage.

Updating the Lead Source on a Lead

When creating a Lead manually, you have the option to set its Lead Source.

To update the Lead Source for a Lead that has already been created: click into the Lead, then click the edit button on the Lead Source row.

Customizable to Your Company

Lead Sources are fully customizable. You can:

  • Add new sources

  • Rename existing ones

  • Remove sources you no longer use

This allows you to reflect the exact channels you market through, whether that includes social media, SEO, paid ads, referrals, or venue partnerships.

Where to Customize Your Lead Sources

In the Sidebar, click into Settings (gear icon).

Then click Lead Sources under the Lead Settings section.

This page is where you can add, edit, and delete your Lead Sources.

Only the account owner and admins can edit Pipeline Steps.
