Accepting Online Payments in Planpage

Learn how to accept client payments in Planpage by connecting a new or existing Stripe account.

Updated over 2 weeks ago

Planpage lets you accept online payments from your clients through our integration with Stripe. Connecting your Stripe account unlocks a fully streamlined booking and invoicing flow, so clients can pay you quickly and securely.

How online payments work in Planpage

Planpage does not process payments directly. Instead, we partner with Stripe, one of the leading global payment processors used by millions of businesses. Once you connect your Stripe account to Planpage:

  • You can accept credit cards, debit cards, and other supported payment methods.

  • Funds are deposited directly into your Stripe account.

  • You can use Planpage to send proposals, invoices, and payment schedules, and your clients pay online through your branded payment page.

Use your existing Stripe account or create a new one

Many planners already have a Stripe account for their business. You can connect your existing Stripe account to Planpage in just a few clicks.

If you don’t have a Stripe account yet, no problem. During the connection flow, Stripe will guide you through setting one up. As soon as you finish the short setup, it will automatically link to your Planpage account and you’ll be ready to accept payments.

Why Stripe?

Planners often ask why we chose Stripe. A few key reasons:

  • Security and reliability. Stripe handles billions of transactions a year and is certified at the highest industry compliance standards.

  • Fast deposits. Most payouts arrive within 1–2 business days depending on your region and bank setup.

  • Client-friendly checkout. Your clients can pay from any device in just a few taps.

  • No platform fee from Planpage. You only pay Stripe’s standard processing fee.

What fees will I pay?

We never add extra fees or commissions on your payments.
Stripe’s current US fee is 2.9% + 30¢ per successful transaction.

If Stripe’s pricing changes or your region has different rates, you can always view the exact fees inside your Stripe dashboard.

Are payment plans and partial payments supported?

Yes. Planpage’s proposals and invoices support:

  • Multiple installments

  • Due dates

  • Automatic reminders

  • Upfront deposit or retainer

Do my clients need a Stripe account?

No. They simply pay with their preferred card or wallet.
Only you, the planner, need a Stripe account to receive funds.

How do I connect Stripe?

  1. Go to Settings → Online Payments

  2. Click Connect Stripe

  3. If you already have a Stripe account, sign in and select it.

  4. If you don’t have one, Stripe will walk you through a simple setup flow.
