Timelines Overview

Updated over 2 weeks ago

Timelines in Planpage help you map out the flow of each event within a project, from the rehearsal dinner to the ceremony and reception. Instead of managing separate documents or spreadsheets, you can build a clear, organized run of show directly inside a project.

Timeline Basics

A Timeline represents the schedule for a specific event, such as:

  • Rehearsal Dinner

  • Ceremony & Reception

  • Welcome Party or Brunch

Each Timeline allows you to outline what is happening, when it is happening, and any important details your team or vendors need to know.

Multiple Project Timelines

Planpage supports multi-day events within a single Timeline. If your wedding weekend includes a rehearsal dinner, welcome party, ceremony, and brunch, you can schedule all of it in one continuous Timeline if you prefer.

However, you are not limited to just one Timeline per project.

You can create multiple Timelines to organize events separately. For example, you might choose to keep the Rehearsal Dinner on its own Timeline and the Ceremony and Reception on another. This keeps each event focused, easier to manage, and simpler to share.

Whether you prefer one master schedule or separate timelines by event, Planpage gives you the flexibility to structure things the way you plan.

Shareable Views

Each Timeline can include unlimited Shareable Views.

A Shareable View lets you curate exactly which Timeline items are included. This allows you to create different versions of the same Timeline for different audiences.

For example, you might create:

  • A detailed planner version

  • A simplified version for the bridal party

  • A logistics-focused version for the venue

  • A vendor team version with arrival times and key transitions

Instead of duplicating schedules or manually editing separate documents, you control visibility directly within Planpage. Every view stays connected to the same Timeline, so updates stay organized and consistent.
