What are "Budget Categories"?
Budget Categories are the high-level building blocks of your budget. Common examples include: Venue, Catering, Floral, Entertainment, etc.
Getting to the Category Manager
On the Budget Page, click Budget Categories at the top-right of your screen.
Adding a Budget Category
Click Add Budget Category.
The dropdown gives you access to the Planpage Category Library (over 200 options). Search and select the category you'd like to add to the budget.
Combining Categories
You may want to combine multiple categories into a single group. For example, instead of listing Photography and Videography as separate categories (with their own estimates and actuals), you can combine them.
Place you mouse over an existing category and look for the Plus Circle (pictured below). Click on it to add a category on the same line.
Custom Category Names
The Planpage Category Library has most of what you'll need for organizing your event budget. However, you'll always have the option to add a custom category to the budget.
Type the name of your custom category and click the Add Custom option from the dropdown.
Reordering Budget Categories
Use the drag handles to reorder Categories on the budget.
Deleting a Budget Category
To delete a Budget Category, place your mouse over the category row, then click the Trash Icon.
