Plans Pro calculates test fit metrics instantly as you edit your floor plan. Below are descriptions of how each metric is calculated.

Circulation

  • Spaces used primarily for people to move through such as hallways and lobbies. Calculated by subtracting the total area of spaces from the USF.

Space Types

  • Space types are the types of spaces you have the option of creating on your test fit. Space types with no spaces on the test fit will appear faded at the bottom of the list. Contact Us if you’d like to update the order of the space types listed.

Space Type Count

  • Number of space types drawn on the test fit.

Space Type Seats

  • Number of seats per space type.

RSF

  • Rentable Square Feet (RSF). This is the square feet that you pay for when you rent a space. This includes a spaces usable area and building common spaces, such as the building lobbies, egress corridors, service spaces (mechanical/electrical, toilet, janitorial, etc), etc. This number is added by your team during the floor plan onboarding process. Contact Us if you would like to change RSF.

USF

  • Usable Square Feet (USF). USF includes all spaces, furniture, and circulation space. Excludes the building core and common spaces such as elevators, exit stairs, and mechanical rooms. It is often referred to as carpetable area and appears in white on the test fit.
