If you expected 10% promotional cashback on an AI purchase and didn't see it, one of the conditions below is usually the reason.
Why this happens
The purchase was not authorized in the promotion window. The promotion ran from 12:00 PM Eastern Time on Wednesday, May 27, 2026 through 11:59 AM Eastern Time on Wednesday, June 3, 2026. Authorizations outside this window do not qualify, even if the merchant is eligible.
The purchase went through an app store or reseller. Charges from the Apple App Store, Google Play, or any third-party marketplace are billed by the store, not by the AI merchant. These do not qualify even when the underlying service is from an eligible merchant.
The purchase was a gift card or prepaid code. Gift cards, prepaid codes, and other stored-value purchases are excluded.
The merchant is not on the eligible list. Only direct purchases from:
OpenAI (ChatGPT Plus, Pro, Team, Enterprise, and API credits)
Anthropic (Claude.ai subscriptions and API credits)
xAI (Grok and Grok subscriptions)
Cursor
OpenRouter
Lovable
ElevenLabs
Midjourney
You hit the $100 cap. Promotional cashback is capped at $100 per person across the full week and across all eligible merchants combined. Once you reach the cap, your standard 3% cashback applies to further purchases as normal.
The transaction was refunded, reversed, or charged back. Cashback does not accrue on transactions that are reversed after the fact, and previously earned promotional cashback may be clawed back.
You don't meet eligibility. The promotion is available to residents of the US, the UK, Canda and the UAE only, with a verified Plasma One account in good standing.
The transaction is still pending. Promotional cashback is paid in XPL after the Pending Period, on the same schedule as standard cashback. The amount shown at authorization is an estimate, the final amount is confirmed at payout.
What to do
Check the merchant of record on the transaction. If it reads as the App Store, Google Play, a reseller, or a marketplace, the purchase does not qualify.
Confirm the authorization time was inside the promotion window in Eastern Time.
Check whether you have already earned $100 in promotional cashback during the week.
If the transaction is still pending, wait for it to clear the Pending Period before assuming something is wrong.
