A commodity entity is a structured data record that includes the Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS) code, manufacturer, and country of origin of a product. This allows businesses to reuse the same data for future customs filings, reducing repetitive data entry and ensuring consistency. Since most importers work with the same suppliers and products over time, storing these details in pCustoms streamlines the filing process.
