I found a bug on the platform, what do I do?

Have you found a bug in the platform?

Make sure you follow these steps, as they'll help you clarify or even understand the problem that might be happening.

There are several reasons why an exercise might not show up as correct when you click the ▶ button.

1. Check that your solution is correct

As a teacher, you can always check the Instructions on the left side of the screen to confirm the answer.

For certain exercises, you can also check the solution by clicking the View Solution button.

  2. Check for hidden blocks

In some games, the play area is quite large, and it's possible that some blocks you used in your game end up "hidden." In this situation, the exercise won't show up as correct, so we suggest using the horizontal and vertical navigation bars to look for any blocks that might be missing.

Alternatively, you can click the broom button at any time, which will make all missing blocks reappear on the main screen. Once you've deleted them, you can try confirming your blocks again by clicking the ▶ button.

  3. Restart the exercise

If the exercise still isn't validating, you can use the Restart exercise button to reset it completely — this clears blocks and sprites, and takes you back to the start as if it were your first time playing. This lets you redo the exercise from scratch and more easily spot where you might have gone wrong.

4. Clear your cache and cookies

We also recommend clearing your cache and cookies, as this helps fix certain errors, such as issues with exercises loading or site formatting. To find out how to clear your cache and cookies, click here.

Still haven't solved the problem?

If your exercise still shows up as incorrect after trying these steps, please contact our team through the Talk to us button or the email address hello@ubbu.io, letting us know your class name.

To speed up the technical support process, describe the problem you're having in as much detail as possible.

When you reach out to us with questions, remember it's really important to communicate them clearly and completely. Also keep in mind that sending us a message with all the information we need to help you makes it much easier for us to clarify things and greatly improves our response time.

For example, when sending a message:

  1. Always identify the issue you'd like resolved;

  2. When mentioning other users, whether teachers or students, always include their username;

  3. Let us know the name of the class you're referring to;

  4. Please let us know the school year your classes are in.

In addition, when you send us a message, there are elements that help our team better understand the situations being reported. So try to always include, whenever possible:

  1. Screenshots or photos showing the problem that's happening;

  2. A video recording showing the problem in more detail;

  3. As a last resort, and if our team asks for more information, you can send a screenshot of your computer's console. To do this, you need to right-click and then click Inspect.

    Then, click Console and finally take a screenshot.
