Why Was I Charged Before My 7-Day Free Trial Was Over?

What to do if you were billed unexpectedly during your trial period.

Apple and Google manage all payments and refunds for in-app purchases directly. If you didn't cancel before your 7-day trial ended, they automatically converted your trial to a paid subscription.

Step 1 — Cancel your subscription

Cancel first to prevent future charges. See our cancellation guide, or follow Apple's guide at support.apple.com/en-us/ht202039

Step 2 — Request a refund

  • Apple: Request a refund at reportaproblem.apple.com — Playbook will approve refund requests on our end.

  • Google: Request a refund at support.google.com/googleplay/answer/7205930
