AFL payouts are based on official results/statistics declared by www.afl.com.au.

I placed a bet on the head-to-head market and the match ended in a draw. What happens to my bet?

For Match Winner markets, a regular season match ending regulation time in a draw/tie will result in dead heat rules applying (bets are paid out at half of the face value/return).

What is Extra Time in AFL?

In regular season matches, no Extra Time is applicable. If the match ends in a draw, the teams will split the four competition points and receive two points each.

In finals matches, two additional periods of five minutes (plus time-on) each will be played. The siren will sound at the end of the first 5-minute period and the teams will swap ends before commencing the second 5-minute period. The team leading at the end of the second 5-minute period will be declared the winner.

In the event that the scores are still tied at the end of the 10 minutes, play will continue until a team is ahead, with the next team to score winning the match.

How does line betting work?

Line (also known as handicap) betting is when points are added to, or removed from, a team’s final score, for betting purposes. Bookies use line/handicap betting to ‘even up’ the contest for wagering purposes.

Lines are displayed using a (-) for the favourite, and a (+) for the underdog, and are only applied to the selection you are betting on.

Bets on the Sydney Swans win if they are still ahead of the Melbourne Demons once 8.5 points have been deducted from their final score. Essentially, the Sydney Swans need to win the match by 9 points or more.

Similarly, bets on the Melbourne Demons win if they are ahead of the Sydney Swans once 8.5 points have been added to their final score. For this to happen, Melbourne can either win the match, or lose by 8 points or less.

Line/handicap betting is based on regulation time only.

My player was injured in the 1st quarter. How will my bet be settled?

All player selections will be considered active if a player takes to the field as an active player at any point in the match, regardless of how long the player was on the field or whether the selection in question references a specific period of the match.

If a player never enters the field at any point during the match, selections specific to that player will be void (if part of a SGM, the entire SGM will be void).

What counts as a disposal?

Legally getting rid of the ball, via a handball or a kick.

Bets on this market are settled in accordance with recorded stats on the AFL website.

How are AFL SGMs calculated?

When combining two or more selections in a same game multi, the odds are not calculated in the same way a standard multi bet is.

As SGMs contain selections from the same match, the interrelationship between each selection needs to be considered. Taking this into account, the Traders will provide composite odds for each selection as you build the multi.

For example, combining ‘Peter Wright to score 4 or more goals’ with ‘Essendon to win’ may result in lower than expected odds as both selections directly relate to each other, while combining ‘Charlie Curnow to score 3 or more goals’ with ‘Essendon to win’ may result in higher than expected odds.

Which clock is used to settle time-based markets?

For all ‘Time Of’ markets, payouts are based on the official AFL clock (not the clock on the TV).

I placed a bet on your AFL SGM 3+ Leg 1 Leg Fail multi promo but haven’t received my bonus cash. Why would this be?

We aim to payout the AFL SGM promo as soon as possible after the match has finished, so if you are contacting us shortly after the match, we may still be in the process of resulting it. Please allow some additional time.

If it has been more than 24 hours since the match finished and you still haven’t received bonus cash, please ensure that your bet meets the Terms & Conditions of the promotion. If it does, please contact us and we will be happy to investigate further.

Do you offer To Miss Top 4/Top 8?

Unfortunately, we don’t currently offer markets on teams not to achieve targets.

What is a Featured SGM?

A featured SGM is essentially a ready-made SGM.

What is the AFL Quinella?

The AFL quinella is a bet on which two teams will make it to the Grand Final (they don’t need to win the grand final).

What is the Brownlow medal?

The Brownlow Medal is awarded to the player deemed the best and fairest in the AFL. After each game in the AFL regular season, the field umpires will vote who they believe are the three best players. The format of voting is a 3-2-1 format, with the best player being awarded 3 votes. The player with the highest vote tally at the end of the count will be awarded the Brownlow.

What happens if the Brownlow medal is a tie?

If there is a tie in the Brownlow medal, dead heat rules will apply. This means the return will be divided by the number of tied winners.

For example, if you staked $10 on Dustin Martin to win the Brownlow at $15 and he tied with Patrick Dangerfield, your new payout would be $75.

Calculations:

$10 (stake) x $15 (odds) = $150 return (if Dustin Martin is the solo winner)

$10 (stake) x $15 (odds)/2 = $75 return (if Dustin Martin and Patrick Dangerfield are joint winners)

What happens if the player I’ve chosen to win the Brownlow is suspended?

To be eligible to win the Brownlow medal, a player must not have been subject to any suspension during the current AFL regular season. A player who has been suspended can still poll votes however they cannot win the medal. If the suspended player finished on top of the leaderboard at the end of the count, the medal will be awarded to the player(s) in 2nd position.

Bets on the Brownlow medal are all-in meaning that if your player doesn’t win the medal, your bet is settled as a loss.

What is the Norm Smith medal?

The Norm Smith medal is awarded to the best player on the ground in the AFL Grand Final, as voted by an independent panel of football experts.

Similar to the Brownlow, bets on the outright winner are all-in, and will be resulted based on the official results on the day.

If the Norm Smith medal ends in a tie, dead heat rules will apply.

What is the Coleman Medal?

The Coleman Medal is awarded to the player who kicks the most goals in the regular season. Unlike the Brownlow medal and the NAB Rising Star award, a player can be suspended and still win this award.
