Golf is a popular sport to bet on and markets are available on a multitude of events.
Golf bets are refunded on any players who do not tee off at a tournament and bets include playoff holes to determine an outright winner.
If a tournament is shortened, bets will remain to be settled on the official result. If bets are placed at the conclusion of a days play in a tournament where there is no further play, bets will be voided and refunded. In the case that a player is disqualified, if they have signed a scorecard and been given an official score at the end of the round/tournament, that score will stand.
Outright Betting
Outright betting is where you place a bet of the player you think will have the lowest score at the end of the tournament, inclusive of playoff holes.
Each Way Betting
Each way betting allows you to bet on a player not just to win, but also to place. For example, if each way terms for a tournament counts for the first 4 placings and 3 players tie for 3rd, they will all be deemed to dead heat for 3rd, 4th and 5th place. In this case 1/3 stake will be a loss and 2/3 of stake will be settled at full place odds.
Finishing Positions (Top 5, 10, 20, 30 & 40) Betting
Finishing positions are deemed by the governing body of the tournament (PGA Tour, LIV Golf). Dead heat rules apply here, for example, if 2 players tie for 5th, the next finishing position is 7th. If less than 36 holes have been completed, then all bets will be void and refunded.
Group Betting
When group betting the winner is awarded to the player that completed the most holes, in the case of a draw the win is given to the player with the lowest score.
2/3 Ball Betting
2/3 ball betting allows you to bet on the winner within a group or pairing over 18 holes (round). If a player is later disqualified the bet will be settled based on the signing of the scorecard, in this case signing the scorecard is the same as correct weight in a horse race. Odds of a tie are offered in 2 ball betting so bets on the tie market are wins, dead heat rules apply for 3 ball.
